The Dimapur Urban Council Chairmen Federation (DUCCF) has extended its strong support to the Naga Women Hoho Dimapur (NWHD) over the recent sexual misconduct incident reported at Sainik School Punglwa.
DUCCF stated that whether the offender was a minor or an adult, a crime is a crime and must not be overlooked. Acts of sexual misconduct are serious violations of trust, dignity, and safety, and call for immediate and impartial investigation, it said.
The federation appealed to the school administration and concerned authorities to remain vigilant and carry out a fair, transparent, and thorough investigation to ensure justice and implement necessary corrective measures to prevent future incidents.
DUCCF also appreciated NWHD for taking a proactive role in addressing the sensitive issue and assured full solidarity in demanding accountability. It stressed that society must remain vigilant in upholding discipline, values, and protection of all children.
