Kizari Village Students’ Union (KVSU) has expressed deep appreciation to the District administration and Police authorities of Phek district for their prompt and professional response in apprehending the accused involved in the recently reported attempted rape case at Kizari village.
In a press release, KVSU stated that the swift and coordinated action taken by the authorities reflects their vigilance, discipline, and commitment to public duty. The Union acknowledged that the decisive intervention not only ensured the accused was placed under lawful custody but also restored public confidence in the justice system.
KVSU also extended gratitude to civil society organisations, village councils, and community stakeholders for their solidarity and timely support. The Union specifically acknowledged the Chakhesang Youth Front (CYF), Phek Area Public Organisation (PAPO), Tizu Public Welfare Organisation, Phek Area Mother’s Association (PAMA), Chakhesang Mother’s Association (CMA), Sumi Youth Organisation, Sumi Totimi Hoho, and neighbouring village councils for their unified stand and moral resolve. The Union further appreciated the cooperation of NGOs and national stakeholders who contributed to the collective pursuit of justice. It also conveyed respect to individuals and groups not mentioned by name, recognising their counsel and support during the critical period. As the case proceeds through legal channels, KVSU reaffirmed its confidence in the due process of law and appealed to the District Administration and Judiciary to ensure that the investigation and trial are conducted with utmost sincerity and impartiality. The Union also called upon citizens and communities to remain vigilant and united in condemning acts that threaten the safety and dignity of individuals, stating that the defence of justice is a shared moral responsibility.
