Nagaland man gets 1 year jail term for assaulting woman

DIMAPUR, NOV 4 (NPN)

The court of principal district & sessions judge, Kohima, Mezivolu T. Therieh, has convicted and sentenced Zasituo Tsukru to one-year Rigorous Imprisonment with fine for assaulting a woman with the intent to outrage her modesty.
In a press release, additional public prosecutor (APP) Kohima, Abraham, stated that the conviction was a result of coordinated efforts between the police, prosecution, and witnesses.
He reaffirmed the prosecution’s commitment to ensuring justice for women and upholding their dignity and safety in society.
The prosecutor also appreciated the courage of the victim in standing firm during the trial process and thanked the investigating agency for their effective work.
