TechAura-2025 concludes at Nagaland University

School of Engineering & Technology (SET), Nagaland University, successfully concluded its three-day national-level technical festival TechAura-2025, held from November 5 to 7 at the Kohima Campus, Meriema. The festival was organised under the theme “Where Insights Ignite Innovation.”
The event was inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Jagadish Kumar Patnaik, who stressed the role of technology in strengthening the Indian Knowledge System. He urged students to lead in research, innovation, and entrepreneurship, stating that India’s future progress depends on young technocrats who blend innovation with social responsibility.
The inaugural session was attended by pro vice-chancellor, Kohima Campus Professor N. Venuh; Director General of Police Rupin Sharma, IPS and Dean, SET Prof. Sujata Dash. Delivering the keynote address, Sharma spoke on cybercrime and cybersecurity, encouraging students to understand digital threats and contribute to building technological awareness and safety.
In her welcome remarks, Prof. Dash emphasised the importance of such platforms in driving student innovation and collaboration. TechAura-2025 Faculty Convenor, Prof. Pranav Kumar Prabhakar, extended gratitude to all dignitaries, faculty, volunteers, and student coordinators for ensuring the festival’s success.
Over the course of three days, the festival saw enthusiastic participation from students across Nagaland, Dimapur and Kohima, featuring over 20 competitive and creative events. The highlights included model presentations, robotics, truss bridge design, techno art, mind drill, photography and selfie contests, spelling bee, Voice of TechAura, dance performance, gaming tournaments, otaku quiz, and the much-awaited Battle of Bands. The campus buzzed with innovation, creativity and youthful energy throughout the event.
Since its inception in 2010, TechAura has grown into one of the most prominent national-level technical festivals in the region, providing a platform for students to exchange ideas, explore emerging technologies and showcase talent.
The valedictory ceremony on November 7 was graced by director & scientist ‘F’, NIELIT Kohima, L. Lanuwabang and additional director & officer-in-charge, STPI Kohima Abhishek Mishra. Both speakers encouraged students to pursue excellence in technology, innovation and entrepreneurship, highlighting the importance of continuous learning in a rapidly evolving digital world.
