Nagaland Greenwood HSS clinches Champions’ Trophy at 1st School Tournament Hub

DIMAPUR, NOV 8 (NPN)

Greenwood Higher Secondary School lifted the Champions’ Trophy at the 1st School Tournament Hub held on November 7, jointly organised by St. Joseph University (SJU) and DMI St. Joseph Global School. Greenwood HSS secured top honours by winning both the football and basketball events, defeating Holy Cross Higher Secondary School in the respective finals.
In men’s volleyball, Don Bosco Higher Secondary School emerged victorious over Eklavya Model Residential School, while Christian School, Molvom claimed the women’s volleyball title by defeating Don Bosco HSS.
The program was hosted by Dr. Kikoleho Richa, Department of Biotechnology, SJU, who welcomed dignitaries, guests, and participants. The event commenced with an invocation by Rev. Fr. Martin Jacheus, MMI, Deputy Campus Manager, followed by a solo performance by Chongtin H. from the Department of Education, SJU.
Tournament results were declared by Nanglem Konyak, Department of Physical Education, SJU, after which medals, certificates, cash prizes, and trophies were distributed to the winners. The Champions’ Trophy was presented to Greenwood HSS by Dr. D. Gnanadurai, Vice Chancellor, SJU.
Khreinuo from DMI St. Joseph Global School delivered the vote of thanks, expressing appreciation to all contributors. The program concluded with a benediction by Rev. Fr. Dr. L. Anish, PRO, SJU.
The event marked a spirited celebration of youth, sportsmanship, and inter-school camaraderie.
