Nagaland BSI Jalukie branch holds promotional seminar

The Bible Society of India (BSI), Jalukie branch conducted its annual meeting and promotional seminar on November 7 at Baptist Church Gaili.
Auxiliary secretary, Rev. Dr. Yiepetso Wezah, who presented a paper on ‘Bible for All”, stated out of 1,652 living languages in India, only 86 languages have full Bibles. He further revealed that according to United Bible Societies, there are around 7,396 living languages in the world, out of which, 3,730 languages are without any part of the Bible.
He further stated that it is now the responsibility of the individual believers and churches to pray and give some amount for translation, production and distribution of God’s word. He quoted the scripture, “For God’s Word is living and powerful to transform the life of individual, Churches and society (Heb. 4;12),”
Assistant officer, Marwati presented a paper on ‘significant of Church leaders’ role and the branch. He emphasizes on spirituality of fund raising. Fund raising begins with prayer, listening to God’s guidance and participating in God’s mission. Fundraisers are spiritual leaders. In Bible Societies, all Christians are engaged in fundraising in the mission of God. He appreciated BSI Jalukie Branch for the generous contribution towards the ministry of the BSI.
The annual meeting was chaired by president Neitho Luho, and Benthuile Haihing moderated the promotional seminar. The audited financial statement for the FY 2024-2025 was presented by treasurer Paramthonang Thiumai.
The Gaili Baptist Church hosted the meeting free of cost, for which the BSI Jalukie Branch and Dimapur Auxiliary expressed their heartfelt gratitude. Altogether 86 delegates from various churches participated in the programme.
