Nagaland City Law College Dimapur organizes seminars

DIMAPUR

City Law College (CLC), Dimapur, organized a mental health awareness programme at the College Moot Court Hall, attended by students and faculty members. The objective of the program was to understand the various behaviours and consequences associated with mental health issues.
Lapiye Centre for Mental Health Well-Being, founder, Lovitoli Awomi, and holder of an M.Sc. in Counselling Psychology with a specialization in Marriage and Family Counselling, served as the resource person for the programme. She spoke on the theme “Breaking the Silence; Embracing Mental Health Well-Being,” highlighting various types of personality disorders and emphasizing how stress and emotional ill-health often lead to substance abuse and other harmful habits such as porn and digital addiction.

Interactive session on litigation: City Law College, Dimapur organised interactive session on Litigation, with Advocate, Anita Bafna, Supreme Court Advocate on Record (AoR), held at Moot Court Hall.
A press release by the College stated that Advocate Anita spoke about her experiences as a litigation lawyer practicing before the Supreme Court of India and Bombay High Court.
She guided students on process and preparation strategies for AoR examination, offering valuable tips to succeed in the test.
Encouraging students to gain hands-on experience, she advised students to begin their practice from local courts emphasizing that real courtroom exposure at grassroot level builds a strong foundation for a successful legal career.
She also donated her authored book to the City Law College Library.
The release added that the session concluded with an interactive A&Q segment where faculty and students had the opportunity to engage with the Advocate.
