Nagaland PPC along with MLA, district admin and others visit new EAC Hq

DIMAPUR

Bangtick Phom, MLA, along with district administration, police department, district land record & survey department and Phom Peoples’ Council (PPC) inspected the proposed new site for the EAC hq at Yonglok area from the present Kongshong on November 7. The inspection was carried out in presence of all the Village Councils (VCs) of Namsang Area under Longleng district.
A press release by PPC stated that a brief coordination meeting with village councils of Namsang area was also held at Yonglok police station. During the meeting, the MLA appreciated villages of Namsang area for accepting and allowing the state government to shift the present EAC Headquarters Kongshong to new site at Yonglok for benefits of people of border areas.
He also urged the public of the area to extend full cooperation and support to the government for setting up of EAC headquarters at new site at the earliest, and expressed hope that the EAC headquarters at the new site would promote peace and tranquility in the area and cater all round development which will benefit the community in large extend.
He further called upon public of Namsang area to extend cooperation to the state government and work hand in hand for benefit of the district in particular and state in general.
The release added that the inspection team also visited site for proposed establishment of Special Border Response Force (SBRF) at Shetap village.
