Kohima District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), in collaboration with representatives of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) representatives under the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Tseminyu, will organise a Special Aadhaar registration and update drive for the general public on November 15, 2025, at the DC Office Complex, Tseminyu, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
In a press release, Kohima District Legal Services Authority, informed that the initiative is being organized under the National Legal Services Authority’s SAATHI (Identity and Dignity) campaign and aims to assist citizens in registering for new Aadhaar cards or updating/correcting existing details free of cost.
The drive is open to anyone requiring Aadhaar-related assistance, including registration, correction, or updates, while informing participants to bring original documents for verification.
For documentation, students applying for new enrollment must carry their Scheduled Tribe (ST) and birth certificates, while for new enrolment of adults, they must present a birth certificate and any valid ID such as a PAN card, voter ID, ST certificate, driving licence, or government ID, the release stated.
For name corrections, students need to provide their ST certificate, and adults any valid ID mentioned above. Birth corrections require a birth certificate, while address corrections must be supported by a residential proof or ST certificate.
