Sainik School Punglwa (SSP) conducted its annual Inter-House Cross Country Championship 2025-26 on November 15, with enthusiastic participation from cadets of Classes VI to XII. The event, held under junior and senior categories, also included girl cadets and showcased the endurance, discipline, and athletic spirit of the students.
Cdt Mohammed Sohail of Dzukou House led Group A (Boys Class VI), while Cdt Thampong Konyak of Pauna House topped Group B (Boys Class VII–IX). In Group C (Boys Class X–XII), Cdt Yazei Konyak of Tizu House emerged victorious. Among the girls, Cdt Yachummaro Jami of Dhansiri House won Group D (Girls Class VI), Cdt Lumrola Sangtam of Melak House secured the top position in Group E (Girls Class VII–VIII), and Cdt Deepshri Pathak of Shlloi House clinched gold in Group F (Girls Class IX–X).
Pauna House claimed the junior category championship trophy with a commendable performance, while Japfu House retained their title in the senior category, reaffirming their dominance in the field.
Principal Col (Dr) Smita Misra, along with the staff and officers of Sainik School Punglwa, congratulated all the winners and participants for their spirited efforts and sportsmanship. The event witnessed enthusiastic support from the school community, reflecting the institution’s commitment to holistic development.
