Nagaland NCP committee, DDCF express gratitude

DIMAPUR, NOV 18 (NPN)

The organising committee of the Naga Common Platform (NCP) has expressed sincere appreciation for the successful conduct of the Stakeholders’ Rally for solution to the Naga political issue held on November 18 at Agri Expo, Chümoukedima.

In a statement, the committee thanked Almighty God for the historic day and conveyed gratitude to its members, the public, media fraternity for timely coverage, Chümoukedima district administration, and the commissioner of police, Dimapur, for ensuring security and traffic management. It also acknowledged Western Sumi Hoho for its solidarity, Diphuphar Naga Youth Organisation (DNYO), Confederation of Nagaland Chambers of Commerce and Industries (CNCCI) for their support, Dimapur District Chambers of Commerce and Industries (DDCCI) for the voluntary shutter down, and Auto Union Dimapur for providing free rides for the meeting.

The committee extended heartfelt gratitude to all whose commitment and collective effort contributed to the “grand success” of the rally despite attempts by several elements to sabotage the common platform. It said the turnout of the general public from far and near demonstrated their courage and commitment to the issue of the people’s survival and dignity. The message of the people’s resolute and unequivocal desire for a peaceful solution, it stated, was loud and clear.

Reaffirming its pledge to advocate for the will and wishes of the people, the organising committee said it would persevere through any challenges in pursuit of the common goal. It further described the “historic convergence” as an occasion to celebrate achievements, renew commitment to the welfare of the Naga people, and continue efforts toward an honourable, acceptable and inclusive solution to the long-standing Naga political issue.

DDCF: Meanwhile, Dimapur District Citizen’s Forum (DDCF) also expressed gratitude to all its units for their cooperation and support during the Common Platform for an early Naga political solution held on November 18 at Agri Expo, Chümoukedima.
The Forum said it looked forward to the same level of enthusiasm and participation from its units in future for the upliftment and welfare of Naga society.
