Nagaland Local products reflect culture, skills and stories: Paiwang Konyak

DIMAPUR

Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan – Vidhansabha Sammelan organized by 41 A/C Tizit Mandal was held on November 18 with minister for Health & Family Welfare, P. Paiwang Konyak as the special guest.
Speaking at the programme Paiwang Konyak emphasized that local products embody a community’s culture, skills and stories, while strengthening the economy from within, reducing external dependency and creating sustainable livelihoods. He noted that self-sustenance begins when people value what they have and invest in their own communities.
Paiwang highlighted that promoting locally grown, crafted and produced goods preserves identity and empowers farmers, artisans and entrepreneurs.
Urging the gathering to take pride in local produce, he called for encouraging innovation and prioritizing local goods in every household, market and institution. “Together, we can build strong, independent and self-reliant communities,” he said.
The minister added that actions must speak louder than promises and that every reform should move the nation closer to a self-reliant and compassionate India.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Mandal treasurer B. Tingnon Konyak and welcome address was delivered by Mandal president, Z. Ahon Konyak.
