Nagaland AFRF appeals for timely completion foothills road

DIMAPUR

Aggrieved Foothills Road Forum (AFRF) representing Bhandari and Changpang areas under Wokha district has expressed concern over the delayed construction of the ongoing Nagaland Foothills Road Phase-I from Doyang Bridge, near Governor’s Camp Liphanyan to Merapani under Baghty division.
In a press release, AFRF convenor Chumjamo Kikon and general secretary Enoch Kithan have, therefore, reiterated its appealed to the state government to ensure completion of the scheduled work by December 18, 2025 as per the contract agreement signed between the contractors and the department.
The forum expressed apprehension that delayed construction would adversely affect Phase-II, Bhandari & Changpang areas linking Mangkolemba division.
Further, AFRF extended support to the Nagaland Foothills Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) for its tireless efforts in making the dream project a reality.
