Nagaland CLH backs demolition of illegal encroachments

Chümoukedima District Lotha Hoho (CLH) has welcomed the move of the State Government in demolishing illegal encroachments in the Airport area and urged for the continuation and completion of the process to facilitate necessary infrastructure development.
In a press statement, CLH chairman Nchumthung Ngullie and general secretary Longshi Kikon called for identification of erring officials involved in the encroachments and demanded appropriate legal action. The Hoho also lauded the leadership of chief minister, Dr. Neiphiu Rio for his role in merging the two major regional political parties under the banner of NPF, describing it as a bold step rooted in forgiveness and reconciliation. The CLH said the move sends a clarion call to all Nagas to reject divisive politics and embrace unity. Appealing to all sections of society to adopt the principle of forgiveness and reconciliation, the Hoho emphasized the need to rebuild Naga society through collective effort and shared values.
