Nagaland Jacob Zhimomi inaugurates 51st KASA Kükami Trophy at Sahoi Village

Minister of Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) and Cooperation, Jacob Zhimomi, on Monday inaugurated the 51st Khaghaboto Area Sports Association (KASA) Kükami Trophy at Sahoi Village under Niuland District.
Addressing the gathering, the minister underscored the importance of exploring employment and income opportunities beyond government service. He highlighted that music and sports remain untapped platforms in Nagaland and urged the youth to pursue them with dedication and perseverance.
Zhimomi observed that Naga youth often aspire for instant success, which can lead to setbacks, and emphasized the need for patience while building careers. He further noted that with the central government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi actively promoting sporting culture across the country, young people in the state should challenge themselves and strive for excellence. Rising to the top, he maintained, would be the best way of giving back to society.
The KASA Kükami Trophy, a major sporting event in the area, will be held from November 24 to 29, 2025.
