Three riders from Nagaland’s Throttle Misfits club made a mark at the recently concluded Sikkim Motorcross Mania Vol. 1, held on November 29 and 30 at Ramro Gaunley Bazar, Resithang, Upper Burtuk. The event, organized by the Sikkim Moto Squad under the direction of chief minister P.S. Golay and supported by MLA Smt. Kala Rai, was the first of its kind in the state.
Representing Nagaland, Hukhoto Chuzho competed in both the Beginners and Novice categories, securing gold medals in both. Bedukho Rhakho participated in the Beginners category, while Shalo Kent contested in the open category, showcasing the team’s growing presence in the regional motorsport scene.
President of Throttle Misfits, Neitouzo Belho, highlighted that the riders travelled to Sikkim by road without any sponsorship support, yet returned with laurels for Nagaland. He noted that the team has built its own practice track at Meriema with the permission of the Meriema Youth Organisation, where they regularly train.
Belho expressed confidence that with proper opportunities and sponsorship, Throttle Misfits could excel at the national level, adding that the team’s achievements are a testament to their dedication and faith.
