All Nagaland Government Drivers’ Association seek special allowances, safety measures during Hornbill

DIMAPUR

All Nagaland Government Drivers’ Association (ANGDA) has appealed to the concerned authorities to ensure the welfare of its members during the ongoing Hornbill Festival.
In a statement, president Neiketou Dzeyie and general secretary Tsalio Sangtam highlighted that the duties of government drivers are strenuous and often involve extended hours, urging the provision of special duty allowances.
ANGDA also requested that proper accommodation, safety measures, and necessary logistical support be ensured for all deployed drivers, recognising their crucial role in the smooth functioning of the Festival.
It sought the kind intervention of the authorities to address these concerns in the interest of the welfare and safety of government drivers.
