The New Life Bible College (NLBC), Purana Bazar, Dimapur, commenced its Annual Sports Meet 2025 on December 2 with an opening ceremony held at the college premises. The event was organized under the theme “Ephesians 4:3 – Make every effort to keep the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace.”
Delivering the welcome address and declaring the meet open, Principal David Khobung highlighted the importance of unity and peace through sports. He noted that sports not only foster harmony but also teach theologians and students to embrace diversity within teams, respect differences, and transform those differences into strengths for pursuing common goals.
The programme was led by Nisala Chopy, with the opening prayer offered by lecturer Bankathung. The oath-taking was administered by the sports secretary, Kivinito A.Y, while the B.Th 2 girls’ students presented a special song. The ceremony concluded with a closing prayer by lecturer Nikki V.A.
The sports meet will continue through December 6 with various events aimed at promoting unity, teamwork, and healthy competition among the students of NLBC.
