Nagaland: Cultural display marks 4th day of Hornbill

DIMAPUR, DEC 4 (NPN)

The 4th day of the Hornbill Festival featured a vibrant cultural show at Unity Plaza, Kisama, hosted by Rural Development & SIRD minister Metsubo Jamir and co-hosted by agriculture advisor Mhathung Yanthan.
Special guests included Air India Express MD Aloke Singh and Surabhi Varma Garg, principal chief commissioner of Income Tax (NE).
Cultural presentations included the Konyak Alea-Boa, Sumi warrior dance Aphilo Kuwo, Kuki migration dance Khulkon Lam, Phom Moolum Shou, Rengma bamboo flute Khuli and Pochury’s Eh-ho Eh-ho.
Tikhir’s pre-harvest Nongtulukia, Lotha victory dance Ekhyo Sharu, Sangtam’s folk piece Khuya Jing Tsoh, Yimkhiung bamboo music Khongpi, and Zeliang festival dance Akhin Tung-bu lin were also showcased.
Angami Kehu-Elokhwe, Ao children’s game Shuzung Saiba, Chang Lo-Chia, Chakhesang work song Nyekro Kuvu Li, Garo strength sport Wapong Piksuaso, Khiamniungan E-Khik and Kachari Swdwmsri Mwsanai concluded the day’s performances.
