Nagaland: Organisations mourn demise of Ntsemo Ngullie

Several organisations have expressed grief and conveyed heartfelt condolences on the passing of Ntsemo Ngullie at Dimapur on December 4, 2025.
NTC: Nagaland Tribes Council (NTC) through its president, C. Pankathung Lotha, and general secretary, C. Onen Walling, described late Ntsemo as a man of principle, clarity, and courage. NTC noted that Nagas had lost a towering figure whose life was marked by humility and dedication to honest service. It recalled his remarkable leadership as former president of Naga Students’ Federation (NSF), first president of Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC), founding member of NTC, and former general secretary of Naga Council Dimapur. NTC conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for his soul to rest in eternal peace.
NCD: Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) councillors and office bearers mourned the demise of late Ntsemo, describing him as one of the outstanding Naga leaders. NCD recalled his service as NSF president and as its general secretary from 2010 to 2013. It noted that during his tenure, Ntsemo along with then president Savi Leigisie organised the historic Holy Land Tour to Jerusalem and Cairo in 2011. He also served as a member of the History Committee for the souvenir of NCD Platinum Jubilee held on November 2, 2024. NCD conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for his soul to rest in eternity.
CNTC: Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC), in a condolence message through its media cell, said late Ntsemo had been an integral part of CNTC history. As its first president in 2012, his vision and leadership during the formative years laid a firm foundation for the council. CNTC remembered him also as former NSF president and chairman of the Honeybee Mission. It conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for strength and comfort, and eternal rest for the departed soul.
GPRN/NSCN (U): GPRN/NSCN (U), led by president Gen. (Retd) MB. Neokpao Konyak and Ato Kilonser Alezo Venuh, also conveyed condolences to the bereaved family. In a message, the group said late Ntsemo, who hailed from Tsungiki village, Wokha district, devoted his life to the upliftment and unity of the Naga people. He was remembered as a selfless social worker, outstanding statesman, and visionary leader. His public life began as NSF president, and he later served in various civil society organisations, making all-out efforts to bring unity among Naga national leadership. His initiatives, it said, paved the way for convincing the Government of India on the need for an exclusive and holistic approach to the Naga peace talks. He also served as chairman of Lotha Hoho Dimapur, general secretary of Naga Council Dimapur, chairman of Honey Mission Nagaland, and general secretary of Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee.
GPRN/NSCN (U) stated that his untimely demise was an irreplaceable loss not only to the Lotha community but to the entire Naga society. His lifelong contributions and unwavering commitment to the welfare of the Naga people would remain an enduring source of inspiration for generations.
