Nagaland: ANCSU welcomes coaching guidelines, new scholarship nodal cell

DIMAPUR

All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has expressed gratitude to the State government and the Department of Higher and Technical Education for introducing regulations and guidelines for coaching institutes and launching the Nagaland Scholarship Nodal Cell (NSNC) on December 1, 2025. In a statement, ANCSU said these initiatives follow its representation, memorandum and ultimatum demanding a separate Scholarship Nodal Cell and regulatory guidelines for coaching institutes in Nagaland. The union said the new measures marked significant progress toward enhancing transparency, accountability and quality within the State’s education system.
ANCSU also commended the Chief Minister and the Higher Education Department for their commitment to safeguarding students’ interests, streamlining scholarship processes and strengthening standards for coaching institutes. It said the development would provide a framework for efficient scholarship management and promote educational excellence in Nagaland. While conveying gratitude, ANCSU appealed to the concerned authority to operationalise the NSNC at the earliest and ensure transparency and proper disbursement of scholarship schemes. It also urged all coaching institutes to strictly abide by the newly approved guidelines. The union added it would continue to remain vigilant and committed to advocating for the welfare and interest of the student community.
