Minister of Roads and Bridges, G. Kaito Aye, has called upon women to embrace shared responsibility in driving spiritual and social transformation within the Sümi community.
Speaking at the SBAK: Aizüto 79-U Triennial Women Conference held at Shoixe village on December 5, Kaito emphasized that while human challenges were unending, the role of a mother carried immense potential to contribute meaningfully to both family and society.
He urged women to live practical lives by dedicating themselves to becoming agents of change, effective leaders, and upholders of moral integrity—qualities he described as the essence of a good mother. Expressing confidence in their ability to bridge and heal the Sümi society, Kaito challenged women to take a leading role in advancing progress and achievement in the community.
Further, he reminded church leaders to go beyond spiritual duties and actively commit to saving souls. Describing mothers as the foundational pillars of the church, family, village, and society, he encouraged women to be courageous, remain united within the church, and work toward building bridges among different church associations to uphold the unity of the Sümi tribe.
Addressing the importance of unity in times of crisis, Kaito urged all church associations to focus on resolution and reconciliation. He also called for restructuring within church bodies to strengthen the foundation of Sümi unity and Christian values.
