PenThrill Publication House marked its 114th and 115th publications with the release of ‘Raindrops of Dostoevsky’ and ‘Loving Lauren & Lauren’ by Nzan Kikon at Otssi Ohan, Kohima.
Speaking at the launch, Nzan Kikon described ‘Raindrops of Dostoevsky,’ his debut poetry collection, as a natural progression of his writing journey, calling poetry the quintessential manifestation of literature. He said the poems reflect his battles with God, sin, love, nothingness, depression, and the void.
His novel ‘Loving Lauren & Lauren,’ his third after The Starry Night (2018) and ‘The Unlikely Indians (2019),’ explores layers of the fractured human mind and experiences, with its deepest layer being a love story. Kikon added that he writes out of dedication to the art rather than for commercial gain.
In her Publisher’s note, PenThrill Publication House, publisher, Vishü Rita Krocha commended Kikon’s consistency in writing that is evident in the books he has written over the past seven years and expressed hope that he would continue to write with dedication and keep adding life and variety to the growing body of literature in the state.
The event began with a dedicatory prayer by Medoneilie Mechülho, Chaplain of G. Rio Higher Secondary School.
