Foothill road: Ao Senden urges govt to issue phase-II work order

DIMAPUR, DEC 10 (NPN)

Ao Senden has appealed to the state government to commence issuing of work order for the second phase of the foothills road at the earliest.
In a press release, Ao Senden president Marsanen Imsong and general secretary Imtipokyim informed that the Sanden along with Langpangkong Tzukong Mungdang, Wamaken Village Council, Nagaland Foothills Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC), PWD (R&B) Tuli division and representatives of the contractor conducted inspection of the Foothills Road at the 8.5km re-alignment at Wamaken Village under Mokokchung district on December 9, 2025.
During the inspection, Sanden said the quality workmanship of the road construction by M/s 3S Infra, was found satisfactory. However, due to late withdrawal of the monsoon, Sanden said three culverts were yet to be completed out of nine.
Therefore, it requested the responsible authority to grant extension of time to the contractor as the delay was caused by factor beyond human control.
Ao Senden has expressed gratitude to PWD (R&B) Tuli Division for constantly monitoring the ongoing project and the Wamaken village council not only for their constant monitoring but for helping the firm and the onsite workers and staff.
