VJ’s Coaching Centre and Hostel celebrated its 25th anniversary on December 10 at IMC courtyard, Dimapur, with a thanksgiving programme graced by pastor Yabang Longkumer, Covenant Baptist Church, Dimapur, as the speaker.
Delivering the Jubilee message, pastor Longkumer acknowledged God’s faithfulness over the past 25 years and emphasised that all glory and praise belong to the Lord. Drawing from Psalm 127, he reminded the gathering that unless the Lord builds the house, human effort is in vain. He highlighted that the institution’s growth and endurance were possible because of its strong foundation in Christ, combining academic focus with spiritual growth. He urged students to remain spiritually alert, keep Jesus at the centre of their lives, and make a positive impact beyond their time at the institution.
The programme featured speeches from distinguished guests including Amenla Longchar, Proprietress of VJ’s Coaching Centre, who addressed the gathering, and Ajungla Imchen, who offered a tribute in remembrance of the founder, late Benny VJ. Messages were also shared by Wojamo Yanthan, chairman Duncan Bosti Council, Dimapur; Dr. Zioba T. Sangtam, Dental Surgeon; and Moa Walling, principal CHSS Dimapur.
The highlight of the evening was the announcement of the best students of the year (2025), awarded to Amo Y. Yangangshu and Kediyilung Iheilung.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Kedino (English Dept.) with pianist Merenla Longkumer. Bible reading and prayer were led by Moala Yaden, Associate Pastor of Christian Education, Diphupar B. Songs were presented by VJ’s boys, Dr. Tongpangmeren (PT, Neuro), and the VJ’ain Choir. Words of gratitude were expressed by Choiam Konyak (XII Science), while Imtiyanger Longchar (English Dept.) delivered a speech on behalf of the teachers. The programme concluded with an epilogue by Girls’ Warden, Anung Longchar, followed by a thanksgiving prayer offered by Ajungla Imsong, APCE Aoyimkum Baptist Church.
