Staff ReporterDIMAPUR, DEC 16 (NPN)

A house was completely reduced to ashes in a fire incident at Lengrijan Lane 4, Sector 3, on December 16 affecting one family.
According to fire officials, the incident occurred between 2 pm and 2.30 pm. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the fire.
Fire officials said their response was delayed due to heavy traffic caused by the Tuesday bazar, along with narrow roads and parking congestion in the area. By the time the fire personnel reached the spot, the house was already partially engulfed in flames.
The blaze was caused by a short circuit. A total of two fire tenders and one quick response vehicle from West fire station were pressed into service to douse the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to nearby structures.
At the time of filing the report, the estimated property damage is yet to be ascertained.
