Konyak Baptist Bumeinok Bangjüm (KBBB) celebrated its Platinum Jubilee from December 11 to 14, 2025 at the KBBB Mission Centre, Mon, under the theme “Celebrating the Amazing Love of God.”
The four-day celebration witnessed the participation of over 3,000 attendees and featured keynote messages from Rev. Dr. Namseng R. Marak, secretary general of CBCNEI; Rev. Dr. Mar Pongener, general secretary of NBCC; Rev. Dr. W. Pongsing, former executive secretary and At-large Missionary of KBBB; and Rev. T.W. Yamyap, former executive secretary of KBBB.
Key invitees included executive secretaries from ABAM, PBCA, KBBB (Myanmar), and representatives of Nocte and Wancho tribes from Arunachal Pradesh. Former KBBB staff shared testimonies of God’s love through past challenges, while the gathering reflected on the legacy of KBBB pioneers.
KBBB expressed gratitude to various contributors including the Chief Minister of Nagaland and nine legislators from Mon district for road repairs and infrastructure support. The Mon district administration, Assam Rifles, and individuals such as late Rev. T. Moina’s children were acknowledged for their roles in Jubilee preparations. Churches and well-wishers provided five mithuns and essential supplies for the four-day event.
The Jubilee concluded with the adoption of five resolutions:
A key highlight was the release of “The Rengma Naga Christian Journey – 75th Anniversary Edition” by Rev. Methalo Thono, and the exhibition “Legacy of Light” showcasing Rengma Christian history, traditional attire, and cultural heritage.
The next KBBB General Convention will be hosted by Sendenyu Baptist Church in 2030.
Meanwhile, the Jubilee concluded with the adoption of five resolutions that reaffirmed the commitment of the Konyak Baptist Bumeinok Bangjüm (KBBB) to uphold unity as an undivided community under God’s love. The gathering resolved to stand firmly against social evils and called for the strict implementation of the NLTP Act across Nagaland. It further pledged to remain deeply rooted in the Word of God and to pursue a holistic ministry in all its activities. Emphasizing peaceful coexistence, the resolutions voiced opposition to any form of persecution faced by Christians in India. Finally, the Jubilee underscored the need to expand mission outreach beyond Konyak areas, with a renewed focus on reaching the unreached.
