Nagaland’s homegrown Korean beauty brand, Beauty Barn, on Friday marked a major milestone in its growth journey with the opening of its second flagship store in Chümoukedima.
Founded by CEO and Founder Toinali Chophi, Beauty Barn has carved a niche as India’s pioneer in authentic Korean beauty (K-beauty), introducing genuine products and transparent skincare education to Indian consumers long before the trend became mainstream.
Speaking on the occasion, Chophi said that the newly launched outlet was designed as a flagship experiential store, focusing not only on retail but also on personalised skincare consultation and education. She noted that customers are encouraged to better understand their skin through expert guidance, making the store more than just a buying destination.
She further said that Beauty Barn’s vision extends beyond business, noting that it was not only about buying and selling products, but also to create opportunities, generate jobs and encourage local talent to return and build their careers in Nagaland.
Highlighting the company’s commitment to local employment and skill development, Chophi said Beauty Barn currently employs nearly 50 people, almost all of whom are Nagas.
With its roots firmly in Nagaland, Beauty Barn has already expanded beyond the state through franchise stores in Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram, whilst adding that the company plans to expand further across other parts of Nagaland as well as metro cities in India.
In addition to its physical outlets, Beauty Barn’s products and services are also available online, ensuring wider accessibility for customers across the country.
