Nagaland: VWF extends relief to fire victims

DIMAPUR

Vivekananda Welfare Foundation (VWF), Dimapur, on December 17 extended humanitarian assistance to families affected by the massive fire that broke out on December 14 at Burma Camp, East Block, near North East Christian University, Dimapur.
As part of its immediate relief intervention, VWF distributed plastic buckets, mugs, and clothes to all the affected families. The devastating fire rendered more than 100 plot holders and over 300 families homeless, most of whom belong to economically underprivileged sections of society. Beneficiaries expressed gratitude upon receiving the essential items, which will help them cope with the immediate challenges following the tragedy.
VWF, registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, has been working for the welfare of the downtrodden, underprivileged, and needy sections of society for the past ten years.
