The Zuketsa Area Youth Organisation (ZAYO) celebrated its Golden Jubilee from December 18–20 at Zuketsa local ground under the theme “Glorious Past, Resilient Future.” The three-day event featured cultural highlights and a vibrant sports meet, with six teams—Leshemi Village, Lasumi Village, Zapami Village, Lewoza Village, Zuketsa Town and ZAYO Pfutsero Town—competing in football and volleyball (men and women).
Gracing the inaugural function as special guest, Additional Chief Engineer, Department of Power, Government of Nagaland, Er. Visakho Therie, urged youth to embrace entrepreneurship with sincerity and dedication to build a self-reliant society. He also appealed to the public to uphold traditions of unity and oneness.
Guest of honour Class-I Contractor and Social Activist, Kewengulo Lasushe, encouraged youth to pursue sports as a career, citing examples of prominent personalities. He emphasized that sports is a respectable profession and advised youngsters to identify their talents and work hard to excel.
