Nagaland: Pangjung calls for unity and renewed vision

DIMAPUR

Advisor, Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, A. Pangjung Jamir attended the centenary celebration of Kangstüng Baptist Arogo on December 28, 2025, at Kangstüng village.
Addressing the congregation, Pangjung said jubilee is a time to pause and reflect on the journey of past generations and to seek wisdom from parents and elders who embody lessons of faith, perseverance and experience.
He reminded that remembering the past was not merely nostalgia but a way to gain guidance for the present and future.
In the spirit of the centenary, he urged the congregation to lay aside hatred, misunderstanding, jealousy or resentment, and to move forward together with renewed vision and direction.
Rev. Sentisashi, senior pastor, Kohima Ao Baptist Arogo, spoke on the theme “Nüchi Yimyim”. Referring to Galatians 5:1, he explained that Jesus Christ has liberated believers from the slavery of sin, urging them to stand firm in faith and not return to habits that rob them of joy and liberty. He challenged the congregation to reflect on what they would carry forward after the jubilee, calling it an opportune time to make better choices and renew commitments.
At the evening service, Rev. Jongpong Imsong, pastor of East Dimapur Ao Baptist Arogo, delivered a message on the topic “Aramesoang Tejakleni”.
One of the highlights of the celebration was the Centenary Choir, which performed in all services. The jubilee concluded with presentations by the Kangstüng Baptist Arogo Youth Department and Christian Education Department.
