Christian Youth Endeavour (CYE) of Khulazu Basa Baptist Church (KBCC) celebrated its 75th anniversary on December 27 and 28, 2025, under the theme “Proclaim His Salvation.”
Delivering the message on Sunday, Dr. Zulhoupeu K. Kezo, Principal, Cho Theological College, Niuanu Longding, Arunachal Pradesh, emphasised the importance of worship rooted in sincerity. She urged Christian youth to be mindful of their choice of songs, stating that worship is the natural overflow of a heart that has encountered God’s grace and must honour Him.
On Saturday, Vepakho Vese, Youth Secretary, Chakhesang Baptist Church Council, spoke on the topic “Grounded in the Word.” He pointed out that many societal issues stem from a lack of scriptural grounding among Christians and urged the youth to return to the Bible amidst the many disturbing influences in the world.
Speaking on the topic “Win the Lost,” Rev. Kehuve Chüzho, pastor, KBCC, challenged the youth to live righteously and lead godly lives. He called on them to renew and strengthen their faith in God.
Earlier on Saturday, Rev. Chüzho unveiled the jubilee monolith outside the church to mark the occasion.
Nekhoto Tetseo, CYE director, shared that Khulazu Basa village hosted the third fellowship of the Chakhesang Christian Endeavour (CE) Union in late 1949 and early 1950. He also noted that Medihi Rhakho was the first CYE chairman following the adoption of the title in 1950.
Other highlights of the celebration included greetings from Müthasheyi Chotso, chairman, Chokri Area Baptist Youth Fellowship, and Vizapo Kikhi, chairman, Japfüphiki Chokri Baptist Khriesarü-ü Krotho. Members of New Deka Baptist Church, Arunachal Pradesh, presented a worship dance during the programme.
The two-day celebration witnessed the participation of hundreds of youth members, with representatives from church youth departments of neighbouring villages also in attendance.
