Nagaland Joint Christian Forum appeals Naga churches

DIMAPUR, JAN 5 (NPN)

As part of its declaration of the year 2026 as a “Year of Intercession”, the Nagaland Joint Christian Forum (NJCF) has appealed to all the Naga churches to pray God’s divine protection and strength for those believers who were undergoing persecution.
In a press release, NJCF president Rev. Dr. N. Papino and general secretary Rev. Moses Murry stated that the declaration was made at a consultative meeting held in Dimapur on August 27, 2025.
The forum stated about 60 leaders from different denominations even from the neighbouring states, who attended the meeting declared the year 2026 as a “Year of Intercession” for the various challenges faced by the Naga society.
Therefore, the NJCF has appealed to the Naga churches to participate and hold prayer in their respective churches.
NJCF urged the churches to pray for spiritual growth and revival in all the Naga churches; unity, peace, forgiveness, and reconciliation among the Nagas; wisdom of God, guidance of the Holy Spirit upon all the Church leaders, Naga national leaders, and politicians; repentance and healing for those who are involved in persecutions against the Christians and to speed up the Gospel evangelism to all unreached peoples group by sending more missionaries.
The forum also asked to pray for those who are in authority to rule the nation and state with justice and love and bring unity, peace and prosperity.
Meanwhile, NJCF wished all the people of Nagaland a Happy and Prosperous New Year.
