Election Commission of the Tenyimi Students’ Union Dimapur (TSUD) has issued a public notice announcing the forthcoming elections for key union positions, including president, general secretary, and others.
In a press release by TSUD, Election Commission stated that nominations for candidates will open with filing required on January 18, 2026, with scrutiny scheduled for January 19, and the withdrawal deadline on January 20. Polling will be conducted on a subsequent date, with results to be declared promptly thereafter.
It has further stated that, all submission must be filed with a proposer and seconder and submitted to the Election Commissioner. Candidates are required to meet strict qualifications, including membership in good standing with the union, no arrears, and submission of necessary form. TSUD has urged all eligible members to participate actively in this democratic exercise to strengthen student representation.
