IG Assam Rifles visits Tuensang; reviews operational preparedness

DIMAPUR

Inspector General Assam Rifles (North), Major General Manish Kumar, SM, visited Tuensang district on January 9, where he interacted with troops of the Assam Rifles and reviewed their operational preparedness, reaffirming the force’s commitment to safeguarding the nation’s easternmost borders.
During his address, the Inspector General lauded the dedicated service of Assam Rifles personnel in protecting the local population from insurgent groups and urged them to maintain high standards of motivation and vigilance to effectively counter insurgent activities.
As part of his visit, Major General Kumar also interacted with children of Bethel Children Home, Tuensang, and distributed study materials and snacks, bringing smiles to the young faces.
