Nagaland: KSON holds conference; fetes achievers

DIMAPUR

The 31st general conference-cum-felicitation of the Kuki Students’ Organisation, Nagaland (KSON), was held from January 7 to 9, 2026, at Molvom Village under Chumoukedima district, on the theme “Rising Through Challenges.”
The felicitation ceremony was graced by Pu Demkhohao Thomsong, 2nd-in-Command, BSF, as guest of honour, and Pu Adaube Heikha Hau, president of Zeliangrong Students’ Union Nagaland, as special invitee.
The three-day conference featured a wide range of activities including cultural dance performances, literary competitions, and talent shows presented by participating constituent units, showcasing the rich cultural diversity and creativity of the student community. A felicitation programme was also held to honour meritorious students, job achievers, and individuals of notable accomplishment.
On the final day, a general meeting was convened, during which new office bearers of KSON for the 2026–2028 tenure was elected.
The conference was attended by representatives from 20 constituent units along with students.
