Nagaland: LCD Elite observes Hunger Free Week

DIMAPUR

Lions Club of Dimapur Elite observed Hunger Free Week from January 3-11, under the Hunger Free India initiative of Lions International District 322-D.
As part of the initiative, the club organised dry ration kit distribution at the bustees, Half Nagarjan, Kuda Village. Each ration kit comprised rice, dal and soya bari, providing essential food support to underprivileged families. Through these service activities, more than 1,000 beneficiaries were reached.
To add joy to the celebrations of MakarSankranti, kites, juices and chips were also distributed to children. Along with this, clothes and woollen clothes were distributed to people of all age groups.
Extending its service beyond human welfare, the club also observed Hunger Free Week for Voiceless Beings, focusing on compassion towards birds and animals.
The initiative highlighted the importance of empathy and care for those unable to express their needs.
