Nagaland Karate team bags 3 medals at National Championship

Dimapur, Jan 11 (NPN)

The Nagaland Karate Team has brought laurels to the state by winning three medals at the 10th ISKF All India Karate-Do Championship 2026, held from January 9 to 11, 2026 at Kurseong, Darjeeling, West Bengal.
According to association general secretary Temsunungsang, despite fielding a small contingent of only three players, the team delivered an impressive performance: Atom Swami Singh clinched Gold in Kata (Cadet Boys, 16 years).
Huto K. Yeptho secured Silver in Kumite (Senior Male category) and Tiabenla Jamir won Silver in Kata (Senior Female category).
The Nagaland contingent was led by T. Lanu Imchen, working president of All Nagaland Karate-Do Association and vice president of NESKFI, with Rangwam Zeliang as team coach and Akhonuo Angami as team manager.
Meanwhile, All Nagaland Karate-Do Association (ANKA) expressed gratitude to Sethrongkyu Sangtam,advisor, IT & Communication, Economics & Statistics & Evaluation, for his financial support and encouragement to the team.
