The three-day workshop on the integration of Annual Action Plans (AAP) for FY 2026–27 under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana–National Rural Livelihood Mission (DAY-NRLM) organised by Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM) commenced on January 12. The workshop, held from January 12 to 14, brings together participants from all District and Block Mission Management Units across the state, including ADPMs and BPMs.
Delivering the keynote address, NSRLM joint secretary, RD and mission director, Moa Sangtam, expressed pride that NSRLM was making a significant grassroots impact by empowering women SHGs to lead rural prosperity across Nagaland. He commended the efficiency and commitment of the mission team in nurturing SHGs, while stressing the need to disengage non-performing staff on priority. As DAY-NRLM enters a new phase, he urged the team to ensure a smooth transition and align the State Mission’s goals with NRLM 2.0.
Chief Operating Officer, M. Rollan Lotha, appreciated the collective efforts of the NSRLM team over the past 13 years, noting the remarkable changes brought to the lives of the poor and marginalized. He said the readiness condition for NRLM 2.0 implementation in Nagaland was conducive, and that the ongoing review and planning workshop would capture status, plans, way forward and scalable innovations from the ground. He outlined a five-year perspective goal focused on communitizing key verticals of DAY-NRLM, with Community Institutions taking the lead in leadership, inclusion, social action, livelihoods, enterprise development, financial literacy and advocacy, contributing towards the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
State thematic leads for IBCB, SISD, Financial Inclusion, Farm Livelihoods, Non-Farm Livelihoods and M&E & MIS presented their key focus areas to ensure meaningful discussions and effective preparation of the AAP for FY 2026–27. The presentations served as joint planning exercises, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among Mission Management Units to establish a clear, integrated framework across all NRLM thematic areas.
The workshop was led and coordinated by State Programme Manager, M&E division, SMMU, Imonenla Imkong Phom. In her introductory note, she highlighted that the collective planning workshop would help shape a people-centric, inclusive and sustainable NRLM 2.0 that nurtures empowered women, strong institutions and vibrant communities, reflecting the aspirations of women across villages, and ensuring grassroots institutions become powerful catalysts to lead inclusive growth and rural transformation in the years ahead.
