The two-day annual sports meet 2026 of the Chakhroma Youth Organization (CYO) Group-C commenced on January 12 at Tsüüma village. The event was graced by PA to the Advisor for Urban Development & Municipal Affairs, Government of Nagaland, Meguo Ratsa, as the special guest.
On the opening day, 43 wrestlers competed in the Naga Wrestling event under senior and Under-15 categories. In the senior category, Khrietuo Khwukha emerged champion, while Kikrukhrielie Kehie, Terhüjavi Terhüja, and Mesalhouvi Kuotsu secured second, third and fourth positions respectively. In the Under-15 category, Krovi Seyie clinched the champion title, followed by Keviser Kuotsu, Lhouvizo Kehie and Rokolhoulie Meyase in second, third and fourth positions.
Altogether, 18 wrestlers were selected to represent CYO Group-C in the forthcoming Wrestling Meet of the Chakhroma Youth Organization scheduled for February 5 at Chumoukedima town. Volleyball matches for men and women will be held on January 13. Earlier, the opening ceremony was chaired by Er. Zhasakholie Kehie. Invocation was pronounced by senior pastor of Baptist Church Tsüüma, Keneinguto Terhüja, while president of CYO Group-C, Viketoukho Kehie, delivered the welcome address. A special number was presented by Vikerheno Khwükha, and the oath-taking ceremony was administered by Teisonguto Khwükha.
