EDUCEN observed National Youth Day on January 12 at its office in Sematilla Colony, commemorating the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda where members and students gathered to draw inspiration from the visionary leader’s ideals of courage, resilience, and service.
The event featured motivational addresses by general secretary Swaraj Chakraborty who highlighted Swami Vivekananda’s selfless life dedicated to serving humanity, while vice president Ankur Sharma Biswas shared inspiring stories of his courage and time management to motivate youth in facing challenges. Education secretary Rohit Chakraborty emphasized Vivekananda’s teachings on humanity, equality, and secularism.
President Angshik Sharma Biswas encapsulated the essence of Vivekananda’s life and teachings, reminding the youth of their power to transform the nation by channelling their energy for the greater good.
The event also featured a tribute song to Swami Vivekananda by Shayan Ghosh, followed by a dance performance by a member of Educen, Mohua Dey. The event was hosted by Subojit Majumder. The program began with the lighting of the lamp and floral tributes to Swami Vivekananda’s portrait.
