Nagaland: Assam Rifles firing exercise in Mon

DIMAPUR

Deputy Commissioner Mon, Wennyei Konyak, has informed the general public of Mon town that the 42 Assam Rifles will be conducting firing and explosive practice as part of routine training at the Unit Firing Range, Tactical Headquarters Mon, from January 16 to 31, 2026, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
According to DIPR, the public has been advised not to panic. Residents are requested to avoid movement in the vicinity of the firing range/camp during the mentioned period and to ensure the safety of children and livestock.
