Nagaland: SWA to host 30th Wrestling Championship at Razeba on Jan 17

The Secheku Wrestling Association (SWA), under the aegis of the Chakhesang Wrestling Association, is set to conduct its 30th Wrestling Championship and Under-15 Meet 2026 on January 17 at Razeba local ground.
Nagaland’s Minister for Power & Parliamentary Affairs, K.G. Kenye, will attend the event as special guest, while Treasury Officer, Dimapur, Zhiewezii Thele, will be the guest of honour.
The open category champion will receive a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh, sponsored by Member, Collective Leadership NSCN/GPRN, Veniizo Zholia. The second prize of Rs. 80,000 is sponsored by PA to the Minister for Power & Parliamentary Affairs, Er. Chete Lohe, while the third prize of Rs. 60,000 is sponsored by retired Assistant Director (Programme), All India Radio Kohima, Abino Lasuh. The fourth prize of Rs. 40,000 is sponsored by Deputy Secretary & Transport Officer, Nagaland Civil Secretariat Kohima, Kiezo Teno.
In the Under-15 category, the champion will be awarded Rs. 30,000, sponsored by entrepreneur Weprede Kenye. The second prize of Rs. 20,000 is sponsored by entrepreneur Niivesayi Dziido, while the third prize of Rs. 15,000 is sponsored by Graduate Teacher GHS Mesulumi, Vithele Thele. The fourth prize of Rs. 10,000 is sponsored by SWA.
Additional sponsorships include tracksuits by PS to the Minister for Power & Parliamentary Affairs Kiivera Nakro; hats by Dziithohiilii Chiero; Radiological Safety Officer-cum-Medical Physicist, Apollo Super Speciality Hospital, Kolkata and T-shirts by SWA. The championship patrons include Class 1 Contractor, Ketoupuzo Lhoushe; Deputy Director, Information Technology & Communication, Government of Nagaland, Er. Daniel Krocha; Assistant Headmaster, Government High School, Mbaulwa Peren, Kuhiicia Medeo; retired Section Officer, Nagaland Civil Secretariat Kohima, Tekeyie Lohe; MD (Medicine), Senior Consultant & HoD, Dept. of Medicine, CIHSR Nagaland, Dr. Kiiniingoyi Domeh; and District Civil Supply Officer Phek, Neisazo Domeh.
Zaciita Puro will serve as chief referee, assisted by Hiivesii Puro, Wekekhe Tsido, Kiikuo Getsa, and Niekhuyi Lohe. The meet will be hosted by the Razeba Adhoc Town Committee.
