On the occasion of the Mimkut Festival, the Nagaland governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla and chief minister Neiphiu Rio have extended greetings and best wishes to all members of the Kuki community.
In a message, Bhalla said Mimkut, celebrated after the harvest, was a solemn expression of gratitude for nature’s bounty and a time-honoured occasion to remember ancestors, renew social bonds, and reaffirm shared values.
He hoped that the festival inspire unity, harmony, and collective responsibility, ushering in peace, prosperity, and well-being for all.
He wished everyone a meaningful and blessed Mimkut Festival.
In a post on X, Rio wished the Kuki community a meaningful Mimkut celebration, a post-harvest festival of thanksgiving. “May it strengthen the bonds within the community and bring peace, prosperity, and happiness to all,” the chief minister said.
