Nagaland: CCRC Fathers Association holds 4th general session at Chetheba

Dimapur, Jan 18 (NP)

The 4th general session of Chakhesang Christian Revival Churches Fathers Association (CCRCFA) held at the Local Ground, Chetheba Town, culminated on Sunday. The two-day programme was hosted by CRC Chetheba Town under Phek district.
Delivering greetings during the Sunday morning service, advisor for CAWD and Taxes, Kudecho Khamo, reminded that fatherhood carries immense responsibility and that fathers are regarded as God’s deputies within the family. He said fathers play the role of pastors in their households and challenged them to be rooted in Christ—with faith as the foundation, the Bible as the cement, and a prayerful life as the cornerstone.
Expressing concern that the world is at a crossroads, Khamo urged delegates to revive themselves, reconcile with God first, then with their wives and children, in order to strengthen personal and family life. He stressed that change in fatherhood must begin with oneself and not by pointing fingers at society, the Church or the Government.
He further cautioned against excessive focus on fundraising and money matters, which he said often overshadow spirituality, soul-saving and evangelism. Instead, he called upon families to live prayerful lives, remain obedient to God’s Word, and commit to missions. Reading from Colossians 1:16, he reminded that everything was created for God’s glory and urged believers to contribute responsibly to the mission of the Gospel.
Speaker of the service, Rev. Zaseyi Veswuh, chairman of the Council of Chakhesang Christian Revival Church (CCCRC), exhorted believers to be models of faith, quoting Proverbs 20:7. He emphasized honesty, uprightness and integrity, stating that faith without action is dead. He urged fathers to lead by example, love their neighbours, and live peaceably, citing Noah’s life of faith and obedience as a model.
The service was led by Vetacho Nienu, president of CCRCFA, with invocation by Rev. Veshoseyi Rhakho, pastor, CRC Thenyizu. Special songs were presented by CRC Chetheba Town, Khezhakeno CRC Fathers Fellowship and CRC Yoruba Fathers Fellowship. Scripture reading was done by Vetsuto Dozo, pastor, CCRC Jalukie Zangdi.
The Sunday evening valedictory service was addressed by Rev. Senuto Ringa, general secretary, NCRC, and led by D. Kemvu Koza, advisor, CCRCFA. On Saturday evening, Rev. Z. David Koza, executive secretary, CCCRC, was the speaker.
Choral competitions were also held on Saturday with Veshuduyi Tetseo, Music Secretary, Chetheba Town Baptist Church; Nusakholu Dawhuo, Music Secretary, Thenyizu Baptist Church; and Phisa Nienu, Music Director, Chozuba Town Baptist Church, as judges.
Meanwhile, a new team of the Chakhesang CRC Fathers Association led by Joshua Koza was installed by Rev. Zhowhuyi Nyekha, chairman, Ordination Board.
