Major General Harinder Singh Mavi assumed charge as Inspector General Assam Rifles (North) on January 19, succeeding Maj Gen Manish Kumar. Commissioned into the 2 JAT Regiment in June 1994, he brings extensive operational experience from Jammu & Kashmir and the North East. He reaffirmed his commitment to regional progress and wellbeing through close coordination with central and state authorities and other stakeholders.
