Nagas champion in blame game: Azo

DIMAPUR

Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu MLA on Wednesday remarked that “Nagas champion in blame game” as many tend to blame the government for not achieving their desired goals.
Addressing the 31st Chozuba Range Wrestling Meet 2026 at Chozuba town in Phek district, Azo said that people often resort to blaming the government not only when they fail to achieve their personal goals but also during natural calamities and even in the context of the Indo Naga political issue. He asserted that such attitudes and behaviour were unacceptable in society.
“Instead of blaming one another we should learn to come together and work in the greater interest of our society,” he said, noting that the inability to achieve goals was due to moral and spiritual decline among Nagas. He urged the people to commit themselves to God first, assuring that visible changes would follow.
Highlighting the importance given to sports under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio, Azo said that sports had been recognized as one of the biggest industries with huge investments being made in the sector. However, he maintained that the lack of moral and spiritual health continued to hinder progress, not the government.
