Saratov State Conservatory, Russian Federation, and Nagaland Conservatory of Music (NCM), India, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen academic cooperation and promote long-term collaboration in music education and cultural exchange.
The MoU provides a framework for exchange of experience and expertise in educational, methodological, artistic and scientific fields, with the objective of fostering mutual learning, academic enrichment and artistic dialogue among faculty members, researchers and students of both institutions.
Key areas of cooperation include joint academic initiatives, exchange of pedagogical methodologies, collaborative artistic projects, research cooperation, masterclasses, workshops, and participation in concerts, festivals and scholarly events. The agreement also envisages student and faculty exchanges, subject to mutual consent and feasibility.
The collaboration brings together two institutions with rich musical traditions—Saratov State Conservatory, one of Russia’s leading centres of classical music education, and Nagaland Conservatory of Music, a premier institution in India dedicated to excellence in music education and cultural preservation.
The MoU reflects a shared commitment to strengthening cultural ties between India and Russia through music, scholarship and artistic collaboration, and is expected to contribute to deeper people-to-people and institution-to-institution relations between the two countries.
The MoU was signed on behalf of Saratov State Conservatory by its Rector, Alexander G. Zanorin, and on behalf of Nagaland Conservatory of Music by its chairman, Lipokmar Tzudir.
Both institutions expressed confidence that the partnership would open new avenues for creativity, research and intercultural understanding, and contribute meaningfully to the global exchange of musical knowledge and traditions.
