A five-day training on Integration of Livestock in Natural Farming for CRPs (Community Resource Persons) under the National Mission on Natural Farming was conducted by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Mon from January 19 to 23, 2026, at the KVK Mon Aboi campus. Altogether 25 farmers from Totok Chingha, Aopao, Langmeing, Choknyu and Aboi villages attended the training.
During the programme, topics such as an introduction to natural farming, farming systems, seed systems, ecosystem services, soil health, nutrient management, and pest and disease management of crops in relation to natural farming and livestock integration were covered. Indigenous traditional knowledge and models, along with the principles and benefits of integrating livestock into natural farming, were also deliberated upon. On the final day, a practical hands-on demonstration was conducted on the preparation of Jeevamrit and Beejamrit. The training programme was organised under the supervision of Dr. Rongsensusang, ACTO (Animal Science), KVK Mon.
