Nagaland Shaolin Kung-Fu team wins 13 gold at Int’l Games

DIMAPUR, JAN 26 (NPN)

The Nagaland team from the All Nagaland Shaolin Kung-Fu Association (ANSKA) has once again brought laurels to the state, clinching an impressive 13 gold medals across various categories in Wushu Sanda and Taolu events at the recently concluded 6th International Games 2026. The championship, organised by the International All Sports Games Federation under the banner of the World All Sports Games Federation, was held on January 24 and 25 at Don Bosco School Indoor Stadium, Guwahati, Assam.
Nagaland’s masters athletes delivered a stellar performance, contributing seven gold medals across both Sanda and Taolu disciplines: Dr. Ruokuo John Sorunuo – Two Gold Medals (Under 75kg, Sanda & Taolu); Dr. David Keneingutuo Sorunuo – Two Gold Medals (Under 90kg, Sanda & Taolu); Dr. Meyiesielie Albert Sorunuo – Two Gold Medals (Under 115kg, Sanda & Taolu).
Nagaland’s junior athletes showcased remarkable talent in Taolu events, Paramita Paul – Gold Medal (Under 55kg, Taolu); Juliana D Rai – Gold Medal (Under 45kg, Taolu).
The senior competitors demonstrated dominance in Sanda, securing four gold medals, Namlang Zeliang – Gold Medal (Under 55kg, Sanda); Dr. Razouleu Caroline Sorunuo – Gold Medal (Under 80kg, Sanda); Nyurhunlo Kent – Gold Medal (Under 65kg, Sanda); and Joel D Rai – Gold Medal (Under 60kg, Sanda).
